Industrial research grant programs
- NSERC Engage Grants are designed to give innovative companies that operate from a Canadian base access to the unique knowledge, expertise and capabilities available at Canadian universities and colleges (see the List of Eligible Institutions). These grants are intended to foster the development of new research partnerships by supporting short-term research and development projects aimed at addressing a company-specific problem; that is, a problem related to the company’s core competencies or activities.
- NSERC Collaborative Research and Development (CRD) Grants support well-defined projects undertaken by university researchers and their private-sector partners. Direct project costs are shared by the industrial partner(s) and NSERC.
- The Alberta Ontario Program (AOP) brings industry and academia together in cross-provincial collaborations to solve key industry challenges in both Ontario and Alberta through research and development
- NRC’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) provides innovation and funding services customized to a company’s specific needs. Their goal is to help you accelerate the growth of businesses through innovation and technology.
